Passport & National ID Registration and Renewal Drive in Washington DC

The Uganda Embassy in Washington, D.C, in conjunction with NIRA (National Identification and Registration Authority), is pleased to inform the Ugandan Community in the USA that the new national ID System has been received for renewal of NIDs and new registration of first-time NID applicants.

Procedure:

1. Applicants must pre-register online at:
2. https://prereg.nsis.nira.go.ug/pre-registration-ui/#/eng and print the
  Online application form 
3. Come for biometric capture at the outreach venue with a printed copy of the online application form and the appointment confirmation email.
Note: All the above services are free of charge.

Requirements: 
Provide the following documents for biometric capture
Renewal of NIDs
1. Your Original National ID
2. Printed online application form

New Registrations (First time Applicants)
1. Printed online application form
2. Your original Ugandan Passport
3. Birth Certificate
4. Photocopy of NID of one or both parents (If deceased or do not have National IDs, present photocopy of NID of a blood relative, i.e, Uncle/Auntie/older Sibling).
